Why we exist

API tools got heavy while the browser got fast

A decade of installers, license managers, and “restart the app to update” turned API testing into its own IT project. Every new hire meant another desktop client to install, another version to keep in sync, another thing that worked fine yesterday.

AlleForge starts from a simpler premise: if a browser can run an IDE, it can run your API workflow too. No installer between you and the request you need to send. No update dialog between your team and the collection you need to share.

The mark is a double chevron — the keystroke every API developer already repeats hundreds of times a day: send, next, next. It was never going to be anything else.

The problem

Modern API work is fragmented across desktop apps, browser tabs, and exported files. AlleForge collapses that into one browser-native workspace a whole team can share without anyone installing anything.

Docs and keyboard shortcuts ship before the marketing page does. The primary user is the one reading the diff.

Fast isn't a setting — it's the only mode. Mocks respond in single-digit milliseconds, not "eventually."

Privacy First

Your requests, keys, and collections are yours. Nothing is training data.

OpenAPI in, OpenAPI out. We build on formats the ecosystem already agreed on, not a proprietary lock-in.

Beautiful Engineering

Craft isn't a launch-week coat of paint. The same rigor that ships an endpoint ships a 2px kerning fix.

Icons carry the same rounded, confident stroke language as the logo itself — never a second style bolted on for a single feature.

No mascots. No stock photos.

Every visual is either the real product or an abstraction built from the mark’s own vocabulary — chevrons, dots, hairlines. Nothing borrowed from a stock library.

Mockups

Flat device frames only — no browser chrome, no bezel photography. The product is the artifact; frame it, don't decorate it.

Product screenshots

Real UI, real data shapes, never lorem ipsum. A screenshot with fabricated content reads as a mockup, not proof.

Device frames

When a frame is unavoidable (App Store, social preview), use the plainest available — no wood desks, no hands, no coffee cups.

Background gradients

Radial only, ambient, always behind content — never inside a button, badge, or card fill. If a surface needs a gradient to read, the color system already failed.

Lighting

Everything reads as screen-lit, not sunlit — cool highlights, no warm studio glow.

Shadows

Dark and tight, never colored, never a glow. Reserved for anything that floats above the page — modals, popovers, dragged cards.

Photography style

If it’s a photo, it’s real

AlleForge uses very little photography, and what it does use follows the same honesty rule as everything else here.

Dark environment

Shot in the same low-light register as the product itself — never a bright studio white.

Authentic engineering workspace

Real desks, real monitors, real code on screen. If it looks staged, it isn't AlleForge.

Product-first

The screen is the subject. People, when present, are context for the work, not the focus of the frame.

Minimal composition

One subject, one focal point. No prop-heavy "lifestyle" arrangements.

Natural lighting

Screen-glow and ambient light only — no on-camera flash, no warm studio key light.

No AI-generated people

Every person in an AlleForge photo is a real person who works here or with us.

No generic stock photography

No handshakes, no laptops-on-beaches, no stock-library engineers pointing at a whiteboard.

Naming

One capital F, always

AlleForge is one word with an internal capital — never split, never lowercased, never shouted. Product names follow it with a space: AlleForge Agent, not AlleForge-Agent.

Every interactive element — nav, dropdowns, accordions, forms — is reachable and operable by keyboard alone, with Escape and outside-click parity built in, not bolted on.

Focus indicators

A visible focus ring ships by default for anything that doesn't define its own — never suppressed for aesthetics.

Typography readability

Body copy never drops below 14px, line-height stays at 1.5–1.7, and line length is capped so paragraphs stay scannable.

Motion respect

prefers-reduced-motion disables scroll reveals and ambient animation sitewide, including on this page.

Founder bio

Dhaval Patel is the founder of AlleForge. After years watching development teams fight tools locked to a single machine, broken mocks, and documentation written once and forgotten, he set out to build the API workspace he wanted for himself — open a tab, build requests, write tests, generate mocks, and collaborate in real time, with nothing to install.
